This 20ft x 8ft used open top container is available for sale and delivery throughout the USA.
Unlike a standard shipping container, an open top container does not have a fixed steel corrugated roof. Instead, it is fitted with removable roof bows and a weatherproof tarpaulin, which is secured in place with ropes. This design makes loading and unloading much easier, particularly when cargo needs to be lifted in or out by crane from above.
The door header above the end doors can also be swung around or removed to allow easier access for oversized cargo. Open top containers are especially suitable for the transportation or storage of machinery and other large items. The container must be shipped with the bows and tarpaulin in place, as they also contribute to the unit’s structural integrity.
If your cargo exceeds the height of the container, a flat rack container may be more suitable, as it has no roof at all. The unit is also fitted with lashing rings to allow cargo to be securely fastened during transport.
